We are a group of parents motivated to make long lasting changes in the health of our communities – and especially for our children.
We began our work in Marin County, California – which has one of the highest breast cancer rates in the country.
Children are uniquely vulnerable to pesticides, as well as other common household toxins. Scientific data is emerging linking many chronic childhood diseases, as well as long-term health issues, to common toxins found in our homes, food, air and water. Long term chronic exposure to substances in every day products – such as BPA found in can linings and plastic containers & flame retardants found in our bedding, couches and children’s car seats – are having serious health consequences that may not appear for decades or even until the next generation.

Thanks to our calls, letters and in person meetings, our County Supervisors have agreed to fund the County’s integrated pest management program (IPM Program) to not only allow it to continue but also to strengthen the program during the next fiscal year.
